Healthwatch BNSSG is your health and social care champion. For people who use the NHS, GPs and hospitals, dentists, pharmacies, care homes or other support services, we want to hear about experiences. We have the power to make sure NHS leaders and other decision makers listen to feedback and improve standards of care. We also help people find reliable and trustworthy information and advice.
Our team of volunteers are our eyes and ears whether they are engaging with the public or attending health and social care meetings on our behalf. Some of our volunteers have previous skills and experience in health and social care and some just want to make the NHS and other settings work better.
Would this interest you?
We are seeking more people to join our team of volunteers and become a health and social care champion.
Your role is varied and will include engaging with the public within, for instance a hospital foyer, or within a shopping centre or within our dedicated unit, open to the public. Or, we could ask you to scrutinise a report or gather research on a particular area or attend health and social care meetings as a representative. We are very flexible, you can do as much or as little as you like.
